Iowa State senior Edwin Kurgat won the men's 8-kilometer championship race in 23:29.4 at the 11th annual Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison. Kurgat became the first Iowa State athlete to win at Nuttycombe since Crystal Nelson prevailed in the women's 6-kilometer race in 2014, helping the Cyclones finish fourth overall with 180 points.
